your Miliserv account on Win9x, ME (not XP)
Setting up Dial-up Networking:
If you are using Me press the Start button,
Setting, Dial-up Networking.
If you are using Win98 or Win95 Open "My Computer, Open
"Dial-up Networking"
If "Dial-up Networking" missing, call
us.
Dial-up Networking box:
Open "Make New Connection"
Name the connection "Miliserv"
Click "Next"
Enter the phone number that you'll be dialing
For Milwaukee: 908-1443
Outside Milwaukee 414, calling
Milwaukee: 1 414 908-1443
For Racine:
676-0056

ensure a local connection to one of our access numbers.
Click "Next"
Click "Finish"
Add Setting
Single click "Miliserv" in the Dial-up networking
window to high-light it
Right click on "Miliserv"
Click on "Properties"
In the "General" tab
Uncheck "Use
area code and Dialing Properties"
Click the "Server Types" tab
Uncheck "Log
on to network"
Uncheck "Net
BEUI"
Uncheck
"IPX/SPX"
Make sure there are checks in the boxes next
to:
"TCP/IP", "enable software compression"
Click on the "TCP/IP settings" button
There must be a
dot in "Server assigned IP address"
There must be a dot in
"Server assigned name server addresses"
Click "OK"
Click "OK"
Set up the Internet Setting:
Click on the "Start" button
Go to "Settings"
Click "Control Panel"
Open "Internet (options)"
Click the "Connections" tab
Highlight "Miliserv" in the
dial-up settings box
Click next to "Always dial my
default connection"
Click the "Connections" tab
Click on the "Set default"
button
Click the "Settings" button
just above the set default button
Under the dial-up
settings add your log in name and password
Click "OK"
Click "OK" to close Internet Properties
Close all windows that are open
Set up Outlook Express
Open "Outlook Express"
Click the "Tools" on menu bar
Click on "Accounts"
Click "Add" button
Click "Mail"
Type in the name you want to display on your
sent messages
Click "Next"
Click "I already have an e-mail address"
Enter your e-mail address (your_login_name@miliserv.net)
Click "Next"
For the "Incoming mail server" enter:
mail.miliserv.net
For the "Outgoing mail server" enter:
mail.miliserv.net
Click "Next"
Make sure your login name is shown as the account name
Enter your password
Click "Next"
Click "Finish"
